The New York Website Designer’s web design for Chris Skurat.
The New York Website Designer
recently created a new website and logo for NYC based Creative Director / Copywriter, Chris Skurat
. He’s worked on projects for Citi, American Express, Fostors, IBM, Motorola and Time Warner. Chis was referred to me by Dennis Greeley
, another Creative Director / copywriter based in New York City. I finished Dennis’ website in November and he was so thrilled with the results, he recommended me to Chris!
Here’s what Chris Skurat had to say about working with The New York Website Designer:
“A friend referred me to Andrea — and I’m glad he did. I needed to profile my work/portfolio online and I needed it right away. Andrea was able to jump right in and make it happen. She was able to accommodate a rush project. She understood my needs. She communicated clearly. She is collaborative. She responded quickly. Now, the site is up & running & it looks great. And just as importantly, she made it clear she is available for any refreshes I may need in the future. Recommended!”
I recently created a new website for NYC based Creative Director, Dennis Greeley. Dennis needed to update his website to showcase his ever-expanding portfolio.
Here’s what Dennis Greeley had to say about working with The New York Website Designer:
“I work in advertising. Finding someone to help me put together a portfolio site seems like it would be easy, but it just isn’t. Andrea made the entire process simple and easy for me. She was responsive (phone, email & text) and totally “got” the simple presentation I was looking for. She even suggested a different delivery method (Behance) which worked out great. I appreciated her easy-going-ness about the whole process, and her willingness to be available should anything implode, or if I can’t upload new work of my own–a high probability. Overall, I highly recommend her to help you finally get that site done that you know you need.”
The New York Web Designer has been busy with tons of new, exciting projects. From Certified Tax Accountants to Professional Make-up Artists; Actresses to Fitness Clubs… The New York Website Designer has spent the last few months working with all types of clients! Each client is unique and each day is different— that is why she loves this job!

Web design for the NYC Life Coach, a life coach based in NYC.
According to Google…
“97% of Americans use the Internet to search for local products & services,
but only 52% of NY’s small businesses actually have a website,
making it extremely difficult for online shoppers to find them.”
Under her watch, many of her client’s sites have more than doubled their website hits. Clients have happily expressed that their increased market share springs in part from Andrea’s exceptional search engine optimization
As a small business owner, Andrea is passionate about working with entrepreneurs and start-up companies. She feels honored to be the “go to” gal for small business owners across the country! From the creation of your logo, to business cards, social media sites, blogs and (of course) your website…she strives to be your one-stop-shop for all of your online marketing needs.
When you’re starting up, you need a very clear idea of who your market is and what you want to say to them. Andrea recommends a phased approach to your website, letting you manage cash flow effectively and scale up when you need it. She can give you the essentials first and build on them with the bells and whistles later when you’re a bit more established. This depends on your business though – she’d love to hear what you’ve got in mind.
I recently created a new website for LA based actress, Melissa Kellner
. Melissa needed a website to showcase her ever-expanding portfolio. Being that my background is in theater
, I knew exactly what she needed. I love working with actors, artists and musicians. I’m passionate about using my online marketing skills to help my fellow artists!
Melissa wanted a website that was easy to update, so I suggested we create a custom-designed site on WordPress. Using this platform helped to keep the cost down while giving her the capability to update her website by herself. We created a website that showcased her headshot portfolio
, her resumes
, her reels
and She was thrilled with the results!
“Like some other people who wrote reviews, I too shopped around a bit, but no one compared to the immediate connection I had with Andrea. She REALLY listened to what I wanted, and had ideas and suggestions that I never even thought of, but that were totally in the correct theme/ line of thinking I was going for. She REALLY cares how successful your website is – not just whether you “like” it or not, but if it is going to get you the best business possible. She makes everything super easy and user friendly. I am NOT a tech-orientated person, but she was able to do EXACTLY what I wanted… AND we live 3,000 miles away from each other. Now THAT’S talent!”
Websites for Actors
The New York Website Designer specializes in websites for actors. Think of your website as your online portfolio, or a giant business card. Backstage.com did an article on websites for actors and they noted, “Thanks to the Internet, a headshot and résumé don’t have to be an actor’s sole calling card anymore. A website can help you raise your visibility and spotlight your talent. And just as a quality headshot and résumé can brand you an astute pro, so can a top-notch website. But the opposite is also true: A confusing or inferior site can frustrate casting directors.”
So make sure you hire someone that knows the industry! Luckily for you, Andrea Bertola has two loves in her life: website design AND theater. With Andrea you get a top-notch website designer that has also been on BOTH sides of the casting table.
I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be working on an AEA showcase called THE ISLAND OF NO TOMORROWS. This show is an exotic utopian fantasia by Fengar Gael.

Business Card Ideas
Personal Business CardsDo you have a bunch of social media profiles and contact information that doesn’t belong on your company business card? These days, a “one size fits all” approach to using business cards is somewhat tricky. Many people ask for personal business cards in order to seperate their personal and professional personas. A personal networking card is the answer – a card that you create to highlight your personality and interests rather than your company affiliation. Showcase your favorite spots teams, art work, inspirational quotes, vacation photos, or your instagram masterpieces! (These cards also come in handy when you’re out-on-the-town and looking for love!)
Actors, Actresses and PerformersAlways be prepared for your ‘big break’, you never know who you’re going to run into! Make sure prospective agents, casting directors, directors and producers don’t forget you with a stand-out business card. Have your head shots on the front side of the card. Pick a few of your favorite shots! The QR code can link to your acting reel on YouTube or your website! singers and Musicians can have the QR code link to an audio file for instant play.
Artists & CreativesArtists, designers, photographers, etc. Your business cards should be as unique as the artist behind them. Together we will create a custom designed business card that allows you to carry your whole portfolio of work in your pocket. The QR code can link to your online portfolio or website.
Moms & DadsPick up to 50 pictures of your little ones and you’ll always have a photo album on-hand. The QR code could link to an online picture gallery. What a cute way to share your pictures and update your contact information for your friends and family. These cards are also great to give to babysitters! A family business card can be used as an addition to your family’s safety plan. Make sure caregivers and babysitters know where to reach you at all times. It’s also a good idea to give your children a few copies of your card. If they’re lost, they or a helpful adult can quickly locate you.
Small Business OwnersShowcase your entire product line on your business cards, with a QR code linking directly to your online store. Other fun ideas: Nutritionists can have fruits and vegetables on the fronts of their cards; Animal Care Takers can showcase their furry friends; Real Estate Agents can feature their properties; Yoga instructors can show yoga positions; the possibilities are endless. Don’t sell products? We can create a custom design with text based quotes and inspirational sayings that you find relevant to your business.
I was blown away by the talent in this show. These incredibly gifted professionals volunteered their time to raise money and awareness for our non-profit performing arts/education organization, ViBe Theater Experience. It is truly heartwarming to see such a unique and diversified group of artists come together from all walks of life to support the teen girls of viBe Theater Experience.
