Andrea Bertola Shaw is a professional director in New York City. Her passion for creativity spans numerous fields including: acting, directing, teaching and website design.

Andrea recently directed a V-Day benefit production of Eve Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues at HERE in New York City, where The Vagina Monologues was first produced in 1996. Other production credits include: The Triad, MCC Theater, HERE Arts Center, Comix Comedy Club, Comedy Central and the Palm Beach Film Festival.

As a web designer, Andrea has become one of the most in-demand freelance web designers around. Her clients are regularly featured in prestigious news outlets such as: The New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, NY1, CNN, FOX, NBC… and more! Andrea is frequently interviewed and asked to give her opinion as an in-demand expert in the web design and marketing industry. In 2012, Andrea was interviewed by Advanced Photoshop Magazine for their 100th Issue. For this special article they wanted to reach out to some of the biggest names in the creative world and Andrea was honored to be chosen as one of them! They talked to her about her use of Photoshop for her graphic design clients. They even featured some of her logo designs on the cover page of the article!

She obtained her Masters Degree in Educational Theater from NYU. In 2010, Andrea was proud to be awarded a New York University Certificate of Distinction at Radio City Music Hall. This honor recognizes outstanding academic achievements, leadership and service to the New York University Community.

Andrea is on the board of directors for “viBe Theater Experience” and is a member of Phi Lambda Theta (the most selective national honor society of educators). Andrea has taught/directed students of all ages across the Tri-State area, most notably at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute working with the Young Actors Program.
